The impending "Heroes Among Us" collection ADIDAS TRAINERS from Marvel and adidas Basketball combines some of the MCU's greatest champions with adidas's most outstanding athletes for special themed footwear that draws parallels between the two worlds. As part of the collection, Tracy McGrady has been brought together with Colonel Nick Fury for a new take on the adidas T-MAC 1 . The comparison is nothing if not a logical one. McGrady is to adidas Hoops what Fury is to the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.: a wise and skilled elder statesman. Even though Fury and McGrady might not be actively engaging in "battle," their influence and knowledge is still a crucial part of their respective teams.
The interest of NMD and Ultra Boost fans was definitely piqued when the first preview of the adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange collaboration from A Ma Maniére and Invincible for the sneaker that basically combines the two models was revealed, and part two of ADIDAS TORSION the collab doesn't disappoint, either. Today we get a first look at the second half of the cross-continental collab from Atlanta's A Ma Maniére and Taiwan's Invincible, the Ultra Boost in an all-white colorway constructed in merino wool for the woven upper with leather detailing for the tongue. The Ultra Boost ADIDAS TOP TEN is also modified with a cageless design featuring textured stripes on each midfoot.
The Jeremy Scott adidas Instinct Hi is one of the more subdued shoes from that man's ongoing Three Stripes collection. Scott was able to resist the urge to plant any foreign objects on the design, and instead opted for a particularly bold tongue. They're not safe from material switch ups though, as evidenced by this new pair that has a couple different denim washes on the upper. The KITH x NAKED x adidas Consortium NMD CS2 features a minimalist contemporary aesthetic that simplifies things when compared to the first installment. The sock-like silhouette ditches any signs of a traditional lacing system for a slip-on fit while an updated premium leather stripe cuts down the middle of the model featuring reflective silver three stripe branding. The full-length Boost midsole unit also ditches the bumpers from the previous model for an updated design. Two colorways will be available in both men's and women's sizes ranging from a Pink Melange Primeknit and a Sandstone option, each featuring co-branded heel tabs in leather to match the updates stripes on the upper.
The Kobe 2's unfavored design would prove to be the catalyst for the end of Bryant's relationship with adidas, as he split ties with the Three Stripes after the 01-02 season. But not before The Kobe 3 made it to the sample stage, with another similarly futuristic design. Kobe didn't quite see eye-to-eye with adidas and the direction his shoes were going, and opted to buy-out his contract with the brand. As part of his buy-out agreement, he was restricted from signing with another brand for one year, and thus began his "sneaker free ADIDAS ZX 750 agency" which we'll detail in full in Part 2 of Kobe Bryant's 20 Year Sneaker Legacy .
The ladies can cool down this summer with the latest colorway of the adidas Iniki Boost Runner in "Icy Blue". The new sneaker combining a vintage adidas aesthetic with the modern advantage of Boost foam and a sleek shape gets a refreshing look that can last all summer long thanks to the bright blue upper with white accents and a gum rubber outsole.
